Salesforce completed its acquisition of Informatica in November 2025, and Informatica now offers packaged services to move on-premises MDM to its cloud MDM SaaS. If you run Multidomain MDM on-premises, the question is no longer whether to decide, but when and on what evidence.

Modernize to Informatica MDM SaaS

When it fits: You have deep investment in Informatica data quality and integration, the skills to match, and a platform strategy that sits comfortably with Salesforce.
What to weigh: It is a re-implementation, not an upgrade. The data model, match and survivorship have to be translated and usually redesigned, and customisations and real-time integrations need rework.

Move to another platform, such as Reltio

When it fits: The current model no longer fits how the business works, or you want your MDM decision to stand apart from your CRM vendor.

Informatica MDM: common questions.

Do you work on both on-premises and cloud Informatica MDM?

Yes. Multidomain MDM on-premises, including trust and validation rules, match tuning, Hierarchy Manager, Data Director and ActiveVOS, and the evaluation of and migration to Informatica cloud MDM on IDMC.

Should we move from on-premises Informatica MDM to the cloud?

Not automatically. It depends on licence timing, how customised the hub is, your integration estate and your wider platform strategy. We assess the three paths — modernize, move or stabilise — against your situation, and will recommend staying put if that is the right answer.

Does the Salesforce acquisition of Informatica change our plans?

It changes the context. Salesforce completed the acquisition in November 2025 and has said Informatica MDM will work with its Data 360 platform. Confirm your contract and support terms with Informatica directly, and treat roadmap statements as subject to change until they are in writing.

Can you migrate Informatica MDM to Reltio?

Yes. We treat it as a redesign rather than a translation: the data model and match strategy are rethought for the target platform, crosswalks are planned so source lineage survives, and match quality is measured before and after.

Do you provide Informatica MDM production support?

Yes: L1 to L3 support under an SLA, including incident and problem management, enhancements, release management and data quality monitoring.

Are your platform recommendations independent?
